Sparks against steel. Skin against memory. Want against resistance.

FRIC/TION is an album that feels like someone kicking open a door that used to be politely knocked on. It is less like a collection of songs and more like a pressure system moving through different emotional climates. Sparks against steel. Skin against memory. Want against resistance.
FRIC/TION lives in that tension. Where gravity keeps pulling toward what was, electricity insists on what could be, and the distance between the two becomes unbearable.
These songs began nine years ago. They were never unfinished so much as still becoming. Some things cannot be rushed into their final form. They have to gather weight, scars, and voltage before they reveal who they've always been. Before these songs could be completed, they needed to evolve, sometimes multiple times.
Maybe that's true of people, too.
Feeling that force, those emotions, that FRIC/TION so deeply, is not weakness. It is the absolute source of our power. Not because it leaves us untouched, but because we are forever electrically altered.

17 artists contributed their artistry, energy, and expertise to the evolution of FRIC/TION.
These songs would not exist without them generously sharing their talent, time, and expertise.
